| 11:01 |
There-was now a-certain-one being-sick, Lazarus from Bethany, |
| |
out-of the village of-Mary and Martha the sister of-her. |
| 11:02 |
It-was now Mary the-one having-anointed the Lord with-ointment, ... |
| |
and having-wiped the feet of-him with-the hairs of-her, ... |
| |
of-whom the brother Lazarus was-sick. |
| 11:03 |
Sent therefore the sisters before him saying, ... |
| |
"Lord look, the-one-whom you-are-fond-of is-sick." |
| 11:04 |
Having-heard (this) and the Jesus said, ... |
| |
"This the sickness not is to death, ..." |
| |
"but for the glory of God, ..." |
| |
"so-that may-be-glorified 'the Son of God' through it." |
| 11:05 |
Now the Jesus loved the Martha and the sister of-her and the Lazarus. |
| 11:06 |
Therefore~when he-heard that he-was-ill, ... |
| |
then he-remained (the) place in-which he-was two days. |
| 11:07 |
Then after this he-says to the disciples, ... |
| |
"Let-us go into the Judea again." |
| 11:08 |
Say to-him the disciples, ... "Rabbi, (just)-now were-seeking the Jews to-stone you." |
| |
"And again you-go-down there"? |
| 11:09 |
Answered Jesus, ... "Not twelve hours are-there of-the day?" |
| |
"If anyone walks-around in the day, ..." |
| |
(then) "not does-he-stumble, because the "light of-the world" of-this he-sees." |
| 11:10 |
"If but anyone walks-around in the night, ..." |
| |
(then) "he-stumbles because the light not is in him." |
| 11:11 |
These-things he-said, ... |
| |
And after this he-says to-them, ... "Lazarus the friend of-us has-fallen-asleep, ..." |
| |
"but I-am-going that I-may-wake him." |
| 11:12 |
Said therefore the disciples to-him, ... |
| |
"Lord, if he-has-fallen-asleep, ..." |
| |
(then) "he-will-be-healed." |
| 11:13 |
Had-spoken but the Jesus about the death of-him, ... |
| |
They but suppose that about the slumber of sleep he-was-speaking. |
| 11:14 |
Therefore then told them the Jesus plainly, ... "Lazarus died." |
| 11:15 |
And I-rejoice because-of you that you-may-believe, that not I-was there. |
| |
But let-us-go to him. |
| 11:16 |
Said therefore Thomas the-one being-called Didymus to-the fellow-disciples, ... "Let-us-go also we-may that die with him." |
| 11:17 |
Having-come therefore, the Jesus found him four days already having-been in the tomb. |
| 11:18 |
Was now the Bethany near the Jerusalem, about away stadia fifteen. |
| 11:19 |
Many and of the Jews had-come to the Martha and Mary that they-might-console them about the brother. |
| 11:20 |
The then Martha, when she-heard that Jesus was-coming, met-under to-him |
| |
Mary but in to-the house was-sitting. |
| 11:21 |
Said therefore the Martha to the Jesus, ... |
| |
"Lord, if you-were here, (then) not ever would-have-died the brother of-me." |
| 11:22 |
But even now I-know, that what ever you-ask of-the God, will-give you the God. |
| 11:23 |
Jesus says to her, ... "Your brother will rise again." |
| 11:24 |
Martha says to him, ... "I know that he will rise in the resurrection on the last day." |
| 11:25 |
Jesus said to her, ... "I am the resurrection [and the life,] ..." |
| |
"the one believing in me, even if he should die, will live." |
| 11:26 |
"And every one living and believing in me, ..." |
| |
"never dies into the age. Do you believe this?" |
| 11:27 |
She says to him, ..."Yes Lord, I have believed that you are the Christ, the Son of God." |
| |
"The one into the cosmos coming." |
| 11:28 |
And having said this, she departed. |
| |
And she called Mary her sister, having secretly said, ... "The teacher is here and calls you." |
| 11:29 |
As that one, when she heard, arose quickly, and was coming before him. |
| 11:30 |
Now Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was still in the place where Martha met below him. |
| 11:31 |
The then Jews, the-ones being with her in the house and consoling her, ... |
| |
having-seen the Mary that quickly she-rose-up and went-out, ... |
| |
they-followed to-her, having-supposed that she-is-going into the tomb, so-that she-might-weep there. |
| 11:32 |
The then Mary, when she-came where Jesus ~ was, ... |
| |
seeing him, she-fell of-him before the feet, saying to-him, ... |
| |
Lord, if you-were here, (then) not ever of-me would-have-died the brother. |
| 11:33 |
Jesus therefore when he-saw her crying, ... |
| |
and the Jews having-come to-her crying, ... |
| |
he-snorted-in-anger to-the Spirit and troubled in-himself. |
| 11:34 |
And he-said, ... "Where have-you-put him"? |
| |
They-say to-him, ... "Lord, come and see." |
| 11:35 |
He-shed-tears, the Jesus. |
| 11:36 |
Were-saying therefore the Jews, ... "See how fond-he-was of-him." |
| 11:37 |
Some but out of-them said, ... "Not was-able this-man, ..." |
| |
"the-one having-opened the eyes of-the blind-man, ..." |
| |
"to-do that and this-man not should-have-died?" |
| 11:38 |
Jesus then again, groaned in himself, comes into the tomb. |
| |
It-was now a-cave, ... |
| |
and a stone was lying across it. |
| 11:39 |
Says the Jesus, ... "Lift the stone." |
| |
Says to him, the sister of the one having died, Martha, ... "Lord, already he smells, ..." |
| |
"a fourth (day) for it is." |
| 11:40 |
Jesus says to her, ... "Did I not tell you that if you believed you will see the glory of God?" |
| 11:41 |
Therefore they lifted the Stone, ... |
| |
and the Jesus lifted the eyes up and said, ... |
| |
"Father I thank you that you heard me." |
| 11:42 |
"And I knew that you always hear me, ..." |
| |
"but because of the crowd standing around, ..." |
| |
"I said (it) so that they may believe that you sent me." |
| 11:43 |
And these things having (been) said, ... |
| |
to sound great he cried out, ... "Lazarus, Come Out!" |
| 11:44 |
The one who died came out, having his feet and hands bound with grave clothes, and his face bound around with a face cloth. |
| |
Jesus says to them, ... "Untie him, ..." |
| |
"and allow him to go under." |
