Jn 11:36 ... Were-saying therefore the Jews, ... "See how fond-he-was of-him."

Verse 36 has 2 phrases containing these 4 narrator and 4 dialog words, ... Elegon oun hoi Ioudaioi, ... "Ide pōs efilei auton" (Were-saying therefore the Jews, ... "See how fond-he-was of-him").

The 8 words are bottom up. The 4 narrator words "Elegon oun hoi Ioudaioi" (were saying therefore the Jews) are tangent to all four Jews. The 4 dialog words "Ide pōs efilei auton" (see how fond he was of him) are tangent from the top two Jews to Lazarus. The tears on the face of Jesus have turned white into the "signs of his fondness."
