The 4th phrase has these 7 dialog words, ... "ho pisteuōn eis eme kan apothanē zēsetai" ("the-one believing in me even-if he-dies will-live, ..."). The 7 dialog words are top down from Jesus to Lazarus. The 2 words "ho pisteuōn eis eme" (the-one believing in me) refers to Lazarus as if he was alive even though now he has died. Jesus promised in verse 11 that he was going to wake him. If Jesus can keep his promise of "life" to Lazarus he can keep that same promise to all humanity. |
