The 3rd phrase has these two dialog words, ... kai peripatei ("and walk-around")? The 2 dialog words are tangent to the hands of Jesus and the former paralytic. The diagram shows Jesus handing the two words to the little boy who dutifully obeys. The child has stood up, raised his "clean white mat" above his head, and "walked around" the center of the hexagon. He has raised his mat behind Jesus and even the two scribes. The Unclean Spirit has been cut in two and cast to the sides of the graph. The two Scribes are now in possession of the sins of which Jesus forgave the child. Jesus answered the question. Yes, it is easier for him to say "your sins are forgiven" and much harder to make the paralytic "stand, raise his mat, and walk around." If Jesus can so easily command a paralysed child to do these seemingly impossible physical tasks, it must be even easier for him to forgive the sins of this child. 2:9b < Verses > 2:10a |
