The second phrase contains these 5 narrator words ... mēde ta pros tēn thuran (not even the before the door). The 5 words are bottom up. The definite article "ta" (the, accusative plural) refers to the missing but understood verbal noun "chōrein" (room) in the previous phrase. If the man from verse 2:1b who "heard Jesus was in the house" would come down from the roof perhaps the room before the door could be filled.
