Mk 2:6a ... And there-were some of-the scribes sitting-there, ...

Verse 6 has two phrases having 13 narrator words. The first phrase has these 7 words, ... ēsan de tines tōn grammateōn ekei kathēmenoi (There were and some of the scribes there sitting, ...).

The 7 words are top down. The diagram shows two scribes now sitting down inside the house. The subsequent diagrams show two is the correct number of scribes. Here they are, using the "the faith" of the child and his bearers as if they were pillows to rest their heads.
