Mk 2:6b ... and they-were-reasoning-(things)-through in the hearts of-them.

The 2nd phrase has these 6 narrator words, ... kai dialogizomenoi en tais kardias autōn (and they were reasoning 'things' through in the hearts of them).

The six words are top down. The text says dialogizomenoi, from dia (through) and logizomai (to reckon, consider, think, reason). The diagram shows the scribes are pointing to their hearts and to their minds. But the sign of their 'reasoning' comes not from the head but from the "heart," meaning their emotions. The scribes are thinking up an accusation they can make, based on what they have just seen and heard, worthy of the broken Unclean Spirit resting on their mind.
