The 2nd phrase has these 12 dialog words, ... hoti eksousian exei ho huios tou anthrōpou afienai hamartias epi tēs gēs ("that authority has the 'Son of Man' to forgive sins upon the earth, ..."). Diagram 1: The four words "ho huios tou anthrōpou" (the 'Son of Man') show they are tangent to the ledge on which the "Son of Man" (2960) circle will rest. The five words "afienai hamartias epi tēs gēs" (to-forgive sins upon the earth) show they are virtually tangent to the "hamartias" (Sins) and through them to the "exousia" (authority) that points to the Scribes upon the earth. Diagram 2: shows all the signs behind the words and how they fit together to agree with the imagery of the text. The two right triangles connect his title (Son of Man = 2960) to his authority (exousia), which in turn rests against the beginning and end of the "sins on the earth." The Son of Man (2960) also has authority to forgive the sins of the two scribes. 2:10a < Verses > 2:10c |
