Mt 4:6b ... "Throw yourself down, for ~ it-has-been-written that, 'He-will-command the Angels of-him about you,' ..."

The 3rd through 5th phrases have these 12 dialog words ... bale seauton katō, gegraptai gar hōti, Tois aggelois autou enteleitai peri sou (throw yourself down, it-has-been-written for that, the angels of-him he-will-command about you, ...).

The 12 words are bottom up. The Devil has sourced the first sentence of this Old Testament scripture: "God commands the angels to guard you in all your ways." (Psalm 91:11-12). The diagram shows the Devil at the bottom of the graph, God the Father at the top. Two Angels guard Jesus on his left and right. The Devil falsely implies that God will command his Angels about Jesus to protect him from all harm, to make him invincible. The Devil cleverly omitted the words "to guard you in all your ways" in which God only promised to protect Jesus from unexpected harm on the way, but not from purposeful, self inflicted harm. This false paraphrase sets up the next one.
