Mt 4:5a ... Then the Devil takes him into the Holy City, ...

Matt 4:5a

The 2nd Temptation, vs 5-7: Verse 5 has 2 phrases containing 17 narrative words. The first phrase has these 9 narrative words ... Tote paralambanei auton ho diabolos eis tēn hagian polin (Then takes him the Devil into the Holy City, ... ).

The 9 Greek/English words are top down. In verse 5 the Devil will first set the scene with Jesus. In verse 6 he will test Jesus using a verse of scripture chosen by him. In verse 7 Jesus will then refute him with a different verse of scripture. The words in verse 5 place Jesus and the Devil inside the white hexagram which is the sign of a city. The ambiguous pronoun "auton" (him) is tangent to Jesus. The next 3 words "ho diabolos eis" (the through-caster into) is tangent to the Devil that was cast into an Unclean Spirit. The last 3 words "tēn hagian polin" (the Holy City) are tangent to the bottom three white triangles of the Holy City of Jerusalem.
