Verse 52 has these 7 narrator words ... Ho de katalipōn tēn sindona gumnos efugen (The-one but having-left-down the linen-sheet naked fled). The 7 narrator words are bottom up tangent to the feet of the naked fleeing youth, the linen garment of Jesus, and the linen garment the youth left behind in the hands of the two temple police. The diagram shows the naked youth jumped out of his linen wrapper to avoid capture by the temple police, then ran away off the top of the graph like the twelve disciples before him in Mark 14:50. The youth represents Jesus running forward to his coming trial and death. Jesus will also be naked, just like everyone else in this gospel cartoon. The two garments of Jesus that were cast around him will later be taken away, then given a purple, then taken away again, then almost divided, then given up by lots, then used to take him down, and finally returned in better condition than before, just like his body. 14:51c < Verses > 14:53a |
