The 2 words "kai ksulōn" (and clubs) are touching the top and bottom of the two clubs held in the hands of the four temple police. The 6 words "meta maxairōn kai ksulōn sullabein me" (with short-swords and clubs to arrest me) are tangent to the police, their weapons, the body of Jesus, and even his two garments. Judas has just robbed Jesus of his freedom and then sold his life for money, just like how a thief steals a valuable and sells it for money. 14:47 < Verses > 14:49a |
