Verse 45 has 3 phrases containing 10 words. The 1st and 2nd phrases have these 1 dialog and 6 narrator words ... Kai elthōn euthus proselthōn autōi legei, Rabbi (And having come immediately having approached to him he says, ... "Rabbi"). The 7 words are bottom up. The word "euthus," (immediately) is the cue to use the previous diagram as a template. Like the text says, the four guards and Judas have already come and approached Jesus. The dialog word "Rabbi" is tangent from the mouth of Judas to the base of the top 5 arms of the Star of David holding Jesus. The Greek word "Rabbi" means "Teacher of the Torah." Jesus will soon confirm his title of Rabbi when he later questions the Temple police why they didn't arrest him when he was "teaching in the temple" (Mark 14:49). 14:44b < Verses > 14:45b |
