Mk 10:51a ... And having answered to him, the Jesus said, ... "What for you do you wish I may do?"

51a11051a2

Verse 51 has 5 phrases and 18 words. The first two phrases have these 6 narrator and 4 dialog words, ...kai apokritheis autō, ho Iēsous eipen, ... "Ti soi theleis poiēsō" (And having answered to him, the Jesus said, ... "What for you do you wish I may do")?

Diagram 1: The 6 narrator words are bottom up. The diagram shows that after Bartimaeus jumped up he came down again. He was still blind because the Unclean Spirit causing his blindness was still in contact with him. The first 3 narrator words "kai apokritheis autō " (And having answered to him) are tangent to the triangle holding Bartimaeus. The last 3 narrator words "ho Iēsous eipen" (the Jesus said) are tangent to the entire body of Jesus. But Jesus already knows what Bartimeaus is wishing.

Diagram 2: The first 2 dialog words "Ti soi" (What for you) are tangent to the hands of Jesus and the triangle holding Bartimaeus. The last 2 dialog words "theleis poiēsō" (do you wish I may do) are tangent from the body of Jesus to his lips. The ten words just happen to be the perfect number of words tangent to the triangles holding Bartimeaus and Jesus.
