Verse 19 has these 7 narrator words ... Kai Ioudan Iskariōth os kai paredōken auton (And Judas Iscariot who also betrayed him). The 7 narrator words are bottom up. The word Judas in Hebrew means "he shall be praised." It also refers to the kingdom of Judah which is south of the territory of Galilee. The word Iscariot in Hebrew means "man of Kerioth," a place in South Caanan, which implies Judas was from Judea. He was the only one who came from there, the other eleven came from Galilee. The 3 words "Kai Ioudan Iskarioth" (And Judas Iscariot) are tangent to this twelfth apostle. The word "auton" (him) is tangent to Jesus. The diagrams for verses 14-16a showed one way to make the apostles as "the twelve." The diagrams for verses 16b-19 showed another way to make them as named individuals. From now on, "they" (1480) will look like larger versions of Jesus (888) when they appear together as "the twelve." 3:18b < Verse > 3:20a |
