Mk 3:18a ... And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, ...

Verse 18 has 9 phrases containing 21 narrator words that names 8 apostles and another father. Verse 18a has 4 phrases containing these 8 narrator words, ... kai Andrean kai Filippon kai Bartholomaion kai Maththaion (And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, ...).

The 8 words are top down. Jesus does not "lay a name" on the remaining nine apostles. That job is done by the gospel narrator. All words in the last two verses are Christ (1480) sized because they are said by the narrator and directed to grown men. The word "and" appears on the left and four new names on the right. The first name is Andrew, the brother of Simon. He has blue eyes, just as he appeared in chapter 1. He appears in three gospel scenes but with no words of dialog. The next three are ordinary disciples with faces just like Jesus (888) but Christ (1480) sized.
