The second phrase has these four narrator words, ... kai tous kermatistas kathēmenous (and the coin changers sitting). The 4 words are top down. The animal sellers at the Temple could only accept Jewish coins as payment. Therefore the coin changers were there to sell the Jews who came from the surrounding foreign countries the current money of Judea at a premium in exchange for the pagan coins from where they came.
