Jn 2:18 ... Then the Jews answered and said to him, ... "What sign do you show us that these things you do?"

xx

Verse 18 has two phrases and 14 words. The first phrase has these 7 narrator and 7 dialog words, ... Apekrithēsan oun hoi Ioudaioi kai eipan autō, ... Ti sēmeion deiknueis ēmin hoti tauta poieis (Answered then the Jews and said to him, ... "What sign do you show us that these things you do")?

The first 7 narrator words are top down. The 7 dialog words are clockwise starting top left. The 4 words Apekrithēsan oun hoi Ioudaioi (Answered then the Jews) are tangent to the two Jewish dove sellers who have stepped up to ask their question. The 2 words Ti sēmeion (What sign?) are tangent to "the sign" only the reader can see. The two Jewish Dove sellers can't see the "sign" (the rhombus) because the body of Jesus and their last 5 words have blocked it from view.
