The third phrase has these 11 narrator words ... Kai episteusan tē grafē kai tō logō hon eipen ho Iēsous (And they believed "the scripture" and "the word" which said the Jesus). The 11 narrator words are bottom up. The 4 words "Kai episteusan tē grafē" (And they believed the scripture) are tangent to the heads and mind of the two disciples and to the 10 words Jesus said in verse 2:19, "Lusate ton naon touton, kai en trisin hēmerais egerō auton" (Destroy the sanctuary of this, and in three days I will raise it). The 7 words "kai tō logō hon eipen ho Iēsous" (and 'the word' which said the Jesus) are tangent to the triangle holding Jesus and the same 10 words he said in 2:19 tangent to the triangles on which he is touching. The diagram shows 21 words are the maximum number that can fit between the two disciples and Jesus. Jn 2:22b < Verse > Jn 2:23a |
