This is the first of five verses that show the 46 years. Verse 20 has three phrases containing 19 words. The first two phrases contain these 4 narrator and 8 dialog words, ... Eipan oun hoi Ioudaioi, "Tesserakonta kai heks etesin oikodomēthē ho naos houtos" (Said then the Jews, ... "In forty and six years was home-built the sanctuary of this"). Diagram 1: All 12 words are top down. The word oikodomēthē comes from oíkos (a house) and domeō (to build). The sign for a house and a temple are the same. The words naos houtos, (sanctuary of this) is exactly tangent to the bottom corners of the gold sanctuary, framed by the door of the temple. The naos (sanctuary) is the place where God lives. The sign of a "year" is a Xristos (Christ) circle having a circumference of 1480 units. The diagram shows 2 red and 1 blue 1480 circles (years) cut up and crammed inside any rectangle having the same size as the gold sanctuary (naos). Herod began construction of the Temple in 20 BC, the 18th yr of his reign (Jos. Ant. book 15, ch 11). This exchange took place in 27AD, the first Passover of his ministry when Jesus was 30.5 years old. Therefore the Temple was under construction from 20BC to 27AD = 46 years. The entire Temple was completed in 82 years, in 63AD. Diagram 2: This diagram shows the scaffolding of "46 years" it took to home-build the temple and it's sanctuary. The diagram shows 15 sanctuary sized rectangles arrayed around the gold sanctuary. Each rectangle holds 3 circles (years) for a total of 45 years. Now take a 1/4th circle outlined in blue from the top rectangle of diagram 1 and place it inside the four 1/4th white circles tangent to the four men on the four corners of the scaffolding. The 4 quarter circles outlined in blue represent the 46th year it took to "home-build" the Temple and it's gold covered Sanctuary room. Jn 2:19 < Verse > Jn 2:20b |
