Mk 14:63a ... And the chief priest, bursting through his chitons says, ...

Verse 63 has 3 phrases and 13 narrator words. The 1st and 2nd phrases have these 8 narrator words ... ho de arxiereus diarrēksas tous xitōnas autou legei (The and chief priest, bursting through the chitons of him says, ... ).

The 8 narrator words are top down. The words of the chief priest burst through his two rectangular chitons (garments) which are now torn in two. The 3rd thru 6th words "arxiereus diarrēksas tous xitōnas" (chief priest, bursting through the chitons) are exactly tangent to his torn garments and the walls of the trial. There is also no longer any need to show any witnesses.
