The 5th and 6th phrases have these 8 dialog words ... Su ei ho Xristos, ho Uios tou Eulogētou ("You are the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One")? The 8 dialog words are top down. The High Priest seems to ask the question in the form of a statement. The question needs to be asked with a tone of irony, but we can assume the reader already knows how to read between the lines. The image of "the Christ" is tangent to the words "ho Xristos" (the Christ). The image of "God the Father" is tangent to it's Jewish equivalent "tou Eulogētou" (of the Blessed One). 14:61b < Verses > 14:62a |
