Mk 2:18c ... "Because why (do) the disciples of John and the disciples of the pharisees fast"?

The third phrase has these 11 dialog words, ... Dia ti hoi mathētai Iōannou kai hoi mathētai tōn farisaiōn nēsteuousin, (Because why (do) the disciples of John and the disciples of the pharisees fast)?

The 11 dialog words are top down. The diagram shows the two disciples of John and the two pharisees are are the only ones speaking. John was now in prison in the fort of Machaerus so he is viewed through a veil. His disciples may have been fasting as a sign of sadness that he was not with them. The Bible Hub - Pulpit commentary says "It is possible that jealousy of the increasing influence of Christ may have led John's disciples to associate themselves with the Pharisees." (I disagree). The words "hoi mathētai Iōannou" (the disciples of John) are tangent to John's disciples who are fasting because they are speaking far away from the bread. The 5 words "hoi mathētai tōn farisaiōn nēsteuousin" (the disciples of the pharisees fast) are also tangent to this pair of fasters. The word "nēsteuousin" (fast) is tangent to the basket of bread no one is currently eating. The diagram agrees with the text!
