Verse 21 has five phrases and 24 words. The first phrase has these 8 dialog words, ... Oudeis epiblēma hrakous agnafou epiraptei epi himation palaion ("No one a patch cloth of unshrunk sews upon garment an old, ..."). The 8 words are bottom up. The 4 words "Oudeis epiblēma hrakous agnafou" (No one a patch of unshrunk cloth) are tangent to the equilateral triangle holding "no one" and the "blue unshrunk cloth patch." The 4 words "epiraptei epi himation palaion" (sews upon an old garment) are tangent to "the hands of Jesus," a blue patch, and a "yellowing old garment." This parable compares an Unclean Spirit to an old garment. The diagram shows a "nobody" who will sew a new patch of blue cloth on a torn and dirty old himation, a rectangular Greek garment. 2:20b < Verses > 2:21b |
