The 7th phrase contains these last 4 dialog words ... allos pro emou katabainei ("another before me goes-down"). The 4 dialog words are tangent to Jesus, two possible helper men, the Unclean Spirit, and the weak invalid. When the weak-man turn around to face Jesus and say "another before me goes-down" his helper-man left him and sure enough, one of the ill, lame, and dried on the shallow ends of the pool went-down before him. This last diagram shows one of the other afflicted men took the opportunity the weak-man gave him to drop down to the bottom of the pool in the agitated water to win his cure. After this 7th phrase, the diagram shows there are 9 bubbles showing in the agitated water. The grand total is 11 + 8 + 10 + 9 = "38 years" of bubbles, the same number of years this man has suffered "weakness" inside his Unclean Spirit! The cumulative total of bubbles of these last 4 diagrams shows this is the 3rd of 3 signs of 38 years! The only one who can help the weak-man now is Jesus. John 5:7d < Verses > John 5:8 |
