The 2nd phrase contains these 7 narrator words ... kai gnous hoti polun ēdē kronon exei [and having-known that already (how)-much time-(thus) he-has-(been), ...],

The 7 narrator words are bottom up from Jesus then tangent to the green circles and the Unclean Spirit holding the sick man. The green circles in the hexagram, (12 semi-circles plus 32 full size circles) represent the number of years the Unclean Spirit has already afflicted the sick man. The numbers across the bottom represent the total number of green circles (years) in each column. Here are the totals: (3x2)+(5x4)+(4x3) = 6+20+12 = 38. As you can see, the weakened man had been afflicted by this Unclean Spirit for "38 years." This diagram is the second of three signs of 38 years!
