The 5th phrase has these 5 dialog words ... balē me eis ten kolumbēthran ("he-may-put me into the pool, ..."). The 5 dialog words are tangent to Jesus, the weakling man, and the bubbles from the stirred water. This hypothetical diagram shows the "weak man" already wished he had a strong man to help him. He already said to Jesus that if he had a man then "he may put me into the pool." He would then be the first one to go down into the water when it became agitated. However, he has nobody who can help him. But for Jesus, the weak-man will get what he wishes for. The diagram shows Jesus supplied the feeble-one with a man to help put him and his Unclean Spirit into the pool. If this happened, the diagram shows there would now be 8 bubbles in the agitated water. The subtotal of bubbles is now 11 + 8 = "19 years." John 5:7b < Verses > John 5:7d |
