Jn 5:5 ... And there was a certain man there, having been in his weakness thirty eight years.

The text says the man was suffering from asthéneia, meaning "no strength" (the "a" negates the root sthenos, "strength"). The diagram shows the man inside the sign of an "unclean spirit," an equilateral triangle signifying the abstract noun "weakness or infirmity."ēsō

The sign of any unit of time to a man, such as a "year," is a Christ (1480) circle. Amazingly, the diagram shows the man is simultaneously "inside his illness" and exactly five columns of thirty-eight interlocking "years" are tangent to his head, his "unclean spirit" (illness), and to the five porticos.
