Mk 15:19b ... and they spit in to him, ...

The 2nd phrase has these 3 narrator words ... "kai eneptuon autōi" (and they spit in to him, ...).

The 3 words are top down. The prefix "en" (in) to the verb "ptuō" (spit) and the iota subscript on "autōi" (to him) put these words tangent to the soldiers, their incoming spit, and on top of the head of Jesus on this diagram. The Temple Priests always "christened" (anointed) their kings with holy oil. The Roman soldiers in the shadow of the Temple were in effect blaspheming Jesus by "christening" him with their spit. The stream of "ptuō" (spit) was the same size as the "kalamōi" (reed) the soldiers used beat the head of Jesus in the previous diagram.
