Mk 14:54a ... And the Stone from a distance followed to him, ...

Verse 54 has 3 phrases and 25 narrator words. The 1st phrase has these 7 narrator words ... kai ho Petros apo makrothen ēkoloithēsen autōi (And the Stone from a distance followed to him, ...).

The 7 narrator words are bottom up. The focus of verse 54 now shifts to Simon Peter in a quick flashback from when the naked youth fled till when Jesus was delivered to the chief priest. Simon is following Jesus and the guards up the mountain from Gethsemane to just before he entered the courtyard of the chief priest. The 3 words "kai ho Petros" (And the Stone) are tangent to Simon and the sign of his white Stone beneath him.
