Mk 1:34a ... And he-healed many having illness with-various diseases, and many demons he-cast-out.

34a

Verse 34 has 4 phrases and 20 narrator words. The 1st and 2nd phrases have these 11 words: ... Kai etherapeusen pollous, kakōs echontas poikilais nosois, kai daimonia polla eksebalen (And he healed many illness having with various diseases, and demons many he cast out).

This verse shows the 3rd of the 24 miracles Jesus did in this gospel. The 3 words "And he healed many" are tangent to the holy spirits holding the 2 men after Jesus killed the 2 unclean spirits holding them down with illness and disease. The next 8 words are left and right to the sides. The 4 words "and many demons he cast out" are tangent to the two demons "kakōs" (illness) and "nosois" (disease) Jesus broke in half and cast to the sides of the graph. The two seemingly different kinds of miracles, healings and exorcisms, are one and the same. Each disease is a different species (genos) of unclean spirit, a characteristic that will later be revealed when Jesus battles the "deaf-mute spirit" (9:14-29). The 4 words "and many demons he cast out" are tangent to the 2 demons Jesus broke in half and cast to the sides of the graph.
