Mk 14:6a ... Yet the Jesus said, ... "Leave her, why do you cause 'hard work' to her?"

Verse 6 has 4 phrases and 15 words. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd phrases have these 4 narrator and 6 dialog words ... Ho de Iēsous eipen, Afete autēn, ti autē kopous parexete (The yet Jesus said, ... "Leave her! Why to her hard work do you cause?").

The 10 words are top down. The 1st phrase is tangent to Jesus. The 2nd phrase, "Afete autēn" (Leave her), is directed at the top two disciples in 5c who snorted their displeasure to her. As you can see, they have left her alone. The noun "kopos" means "work or labor." "Kopos" is derived from the verb "kopto" (to cut), such as "cutting stone," or cutting equilateral triangles into right triangles. "Kopos" is a synonym for "ergon," also meaning "work." The bottom two disciples are still snorting. The woman stands on the two dismissed disciples and the broken alabaster jar that christened the head of Jesus with nard perfume.
