The 5th phrase has these 3 narrator words ... nardou pistikēs polutelous [of nard (believed to be) of pure of much cost]. The 3 narrator words are top down. The adjective pistikēsis, derived from pistis (faith, belief) is a trustworthy belief of the quality of the nard. The adjective polutelous, derived from polus (much, many) and telos (the end, the outcome, cost) is a trustworthy belief of the value of the nard. By deduction, the physical sign of value (money) is half the size of a Jesus circle (444). If you fill the area of the graph under the alabaster jar with silver coins the number is 300 which is the exact number confirmed two verses later in verse 14:5. 14:3c < Verses > 14:3e |
