Mk 12:9a ... What then will the Lord of the vineyard do? ...

Verse 9 has three phrases and 17 dialog words. The first phrase has these 7 words, ... Ti oun poiēsei ho kurios tou ampelōnos ("What then will do the Lord of the Vineyard, ...")?

The 7 dialog words are bottom up. Verse 9 is modelled on three verses of Isaiah 5:24-26. The Lord of the Vineyard appears in the place of his murdered son to take revenge. Here are the first two verses: "For they have spurned the law of the Lord of hosts, and scorned the word of the Holy one of Israel. Therefore the wrath of the Lord blazes against his people, he raises his hand to strike them" (Isaiah 5:24-25).
