Verse 12 has three phrases and 10 dialog words. The first phrase has these 7 words, ... "Kai ean autē apolusasa ton andra autēs" (And if she divorces the man of her, ...). The 7 dialog words are top down. Jesus is still talking to his disciples. As in diagram 10:11a, the wife now divorces her husband. Notice how the Greek language takes a word or two more to say than English, ... ie "the man of her" = "her man." 10:11c < Verses > 10:12b |
