Verse 11 has 4 phrases and 15 words. The first two phrases have these 3 narrator and 6 dialog words, Kai legei autois, ... "Hos an apolusē tēn gunaika autou" (And he says to them, ... "Who ever divorces the wife of him, ..."). The first two phrases from Jesus to the disciples are top down. The first 3 narrator words are tangent to the 6 dialog words tangent to the three triangles holding the man and wife and standing on the rectangle holding the 12 disciples. The Greek word "an" in "hos an" (Who-ever) is a participle with no exact English translation but it does count as a word, in this case as the word "ever." The last two words "gunaika autou" (wife of him) are tangent to the triangles holding the wife and her husband. This part of the verse must have nine correctly placed words to draw the images tangent to the words they name. 10:10b < Verses > 10:11b |
