Verse 3 has 2 phrases containing these 5 narrator and 4 dialog words ... Ho de apokritheis eipen autois, Ti humin eneteilato Mōusēs (But having answered he said to them, "What you command Moses")? The first phrase is bottom up, the second is top down. It seems the gospel author purposely deleted words to keep the number to no more than four. The lack of words makes this question from Jesus rather ambiguous. The question seems to be, "What command is Moses sending to you?"
