Verse 5 has 3 phrases and 14 words, 5 narrator and 9 dialog words, ... Ho de Iēsous eipen autois, Pros tēn sklērokardian humōn egrapsen humin tēn entolēn tautēn (The yet Jesus said to them, ... "Because of the hardheartedness of you, he wrote to you the precept this"). The 5 narrator words of the first phrase are clockwise. The 9 dialog words of the next two phrases are top down. Since a precept or commandment (entolē) is an abstract noun, it's sign is an equilateral triangle. The first 5 words connect to "Jesus" (Iēsous) and the top two pharisees through the pronoun "them" (autois). The last 9 dialog words show "the hard hearts" (tēn sklērokardian) of the bottom two pharisees connecting to "the precept" (tēn entolēn) of Moses, as he writes it (tēn entolēn tautēn). 10:4 < Verses > 10:6 |
