Mk 10:9a ... What therefore the God together-yokes, ...

Verse 9 has 2 phrases and 8 dialog words. The first phrase has these 5 words ... Ho oun ho theos sunezeuksen (What therefore the God together-yokes, ...).

The 5 dialog words are top down. The 3 words "ho theos sunezeuksen" (the God together yokes) are tangent to the white triangle and the three words yoking the heads and bodies of the man and the wife together. The word "sunezeuxen" comes from "sun" (together) and "zugos" (a yoke). The diagram shows the God Jesus above who is speaking to the man and wife below. If the man and wife were in silhouette, their two heads and limbs would look like a "yoke" placed on their "one flesh."
