Mk 8:9b ... And he sent them away.

The second phrase has these 3 narrator words ... kai apelusen autous (And he sent away them).

The 3 narrator words are top down. Jesus "sends away" the faces of the twelve men, the personification of the crowd, and the 3997 square representing their "number" like he did the square of 5000 in diagram 6:45c. His words have left a void on the square on which he stands. Jesus is now in position to board "the boat" for the next story, just like he did in diagram 6:45a.
