Mk 8:1a ... Again in those days, being a crowd of many, ...

Verse 1 has 18 narrator words. The first two phrases contain these 8 narrator words ... En ekeinais tais hēmerais palin, pollou oxlou ontos (In those the days again, of many a crowd being, ...).

The 8 narrator words are top down. Jesus holds the first two words "En ekeinais" (in those) in his hands. The next four words "tais hēmerais palin pollou" (the days again, of many) are tangent to the "ideal sign" of the rhombus. The words "oxlou ontos" (a crowd being) is tangent to 12 symbolic men enclosed in a large rectangle, the sign of a wilderness. The word "pollou" is modifying "the days again" and "a crowd being." The sign is saying this "crowd of many" has been with Jesus "three days." Verse 2 will confirm it.
