The fourth and fifth phrase contain these 8 narrator words ... kai iasētai autou ton huion ēmellen gar apothnēskein (and cure of him the son, he was about for to die). The 8 words are top down. The previous diagram showed the man asking Jesus to come down. This diagram shows Jesus came down so that Jesus, the Royal Official, and his son are all tangent to the text. The words "kai iasētai" (and cure) are tangent to Jesus, the one who cures. The words "autou ton huion" (of him the son) are tangent to the father and his son. The final words "ēmellen gar apothnēskein" (for he was about to die) are tangent to the little boy. The following verses will use dual purpose dialog and time circles by the Royal official and his two slaves to show their spoken words and the time in hours. Jesus will use his own set of dialog circles to perform his 2nd Sign Miracle by word of mouth from a distance. Jn 4:47b < Verses > 4:48 |
