The 5th phrase has these 5 narrator words ... tolmēsas eisēlthen pros ton Pilaton (having boldness he went in before the Pilate, ...).

The 5 narrator words are bottom up. As a prominent member of the council, Joseph may have dealt with Pilate on a daily basis. Pilate would surely have known him and probably would not have turned down an audience with him. The word "tolmēsas" (boldness), comes from the abstract noun "tolma" (boldness) and its sign by convention is an equilateral triangle. The boldness of Josef may have been to go in and greet Pilate as an old familiar friend with a kiss on the cheek.
