Mk 15:15b ... and handed over the Jesus flogged in order to be crucified.

The last phrase has these 7 narrator words ... kai paredōken ton Iēsoun fragellōsas hina staurōthē (and handed over the Jesus flogged in order to be crucified).

The 7 words are top down. The 5 words "kai paredōken ton Iēsoun fragellōsas" (and handed over the Jesus flogged) is past tense. The 2 words "Jesus flogged" are visually tangent to the two scourges, the two Roman soldiers who scourged him, and the triangle holding Jesus suspended above the pavement. The soldiers have finished their orders and stood up their scourges. The last 2 words "hina staurōthē" (in order to be crucified) are future tense. Jesus now has to endure one last Roman torture before he is crucified.
