Verse 14 has 4 phrases and 15 words. The 1st two phrases have these 5 narrator and 4 dialog words ... Ho de Pilatos elegen autois, ... "Ti gar epoiesen kakon" (The yet Pilate was saying to-them, ... "What for has-he-done evil")? The 5 narrator words are top down from Pilate to the triangles tangent to the four Jews then down to the top of the head of Jesus. The diagram shows Jesus is enclosed in a white triangle, the sign of "good," he is not doing "evil." Pilate is asking "them" (the Jews) "What evil has been done?" The answer is in verse 13, the prior diagram. The four Jews are asking Pilate to crucify a man who has done no evil. That is an evil request by evil people instigated by the Chief Priests. 15:13 < Verses > 15:14b |
