Mk 9:10a ... And 'the word' they kept before them, ...

Verse 10 has two phrases containing 13 gospel text words. The first phrase has these 6 words ... Kai ton logon ekratēsan pros heautous (And the word they kept before them, ...).

The 6 words are top down. The gematria value of the Greek words "ho logos" (the word) is the number 443. This diagram shows that exactly one hundred circles with a circumference equal to "the word" (443) fill the large hexagon between and before them. The imagery of the text and the diagram agree with each other. The future gospel of John will begin by proclaiming that Jesus is "the Word" of God.
