Mk 9:5a ... And having answered, the Stone says to the Jesus, ...

Verse 5 has eight phrases containing 7 narrator and 18 dialog words. The first two phrases have these 7 narrator words ... kai apokritheis, ho Petros legei tō Iēsou (And having answered, the Stone says to the Jesus, ...).

The 7 narrator words are top down. The verb "apokree'nomahee" means "to give an answer to a proposed question or to begin to speak but always addressing something said or done that has preceded."
