The fourth phrase has these 5 words of dialog, ... oitines ou mē geusōntai thanatou ("who no not shall taste of death, ..."). Diagram 1: The 5 dialog words are top down. The 3 words "oitines ou mē" (who no not) are tangent to the empty trapezoid. The 3 words, "mē geusōntai thanatou" (not shall taste of death) is tangent to the triangle of "death," the black equilateral triangle and the three disciples enclosing Jesus whose tongues are out of sight in their mouths so they can't taste of Death. Instead, the diagram shows they will taste the threefold intensified sign of "eternal Life" (zōē = 815) with their lips in heaven. Diagram 2: This diagram shows the opposite of diagram 1c-1, the one with Simon, James, and John up in heaven. The first 3 words "oitines ou mē" (who no not) is a double negative meaning "who yes." Some bible scholars claim the double negative "ou mē" (no not) intensifies the negative. The above diagram contradicts that claim. The bottom 2 dialog words "geusōntai thanatou" (shall taste of death) are tangent to the black equilateral triangle of death and the three tongues tasting it. This diagram shows the three disciples down on the ground tasting Death with their tongues. 9:1b < Verse > 9:1d |
