Mk 7:5a ... And the pharisees and the scribes questioned him, ...

Verse 5 has 3 phrases and 26 words. The first phrase has these 8 text words, ... mm (And questioned him the pharisees and the scribes, ... ).

The pharisees and scribes have already asked the question which is stated in the present tense. As the diagram shows, there is no room for the disciples to "walk around." The two disciples can only "walk through" (not around) the three signs of the "tradition of the elders."

The diagram shows that the height of a basket of bread is equal to the height of Jesus. According to the logic of gematria, eating bread is metaphorically like eating Jesus. ē ō
