Now combine the previous diagram with this one. You gets two white cups (poterion), two pitchers, two copper vessels, and two couches! The body of water in each cup can baptize (submerge) two squished pitchers, two squished copper vessels, or two couches. Perhaps scribes making copies of Mark thought the idea of baptising dining couches was ridiculous, and that is why they deleted it! As you can see, these are all "things" associated with eating.
